Oyma v0.6.0: Interactive Canvas Graph & Bidirectional Wikilinks
Hardware-accelerated force-directed graph view, automatic link refactoring, and bidirectional [[WikiLink]] autocompletion.
Release Highlights
- Hardware-accelerated canvas graph view visualizing inter-note connections
- Local node graph and global vault overview with depth and tag filtering
- Bidirectional [[WikiLink]] autocompletion with piped alias support
- Automated link refactoring when renaming notes or moving files across folders
Release Highlights: Knowledge Graph & Connected Thinking
Isolated notes lose their utility over time; interconnected knowledge compounds. Version 0.6.0 introduces our high-performance canvas graph view and comprehensive bidirectional linking system.
Key Capabilities
Force-Directed Canvas Graph
Our interactive network graph uses a physics-based simulation rendered on HTML5 canvas with WebGL acceleration. It effortlessly renders vaults with over 5,000 notes at a smooth 60 frames per second. You can filter nodes by tags, folder paths, or link depth.
Automatic Rename Refactoring
When you rename a note or reorganize folder hierarchies, Oyma automatically scans your vault and rewrites all incoming [[WikiLinks]], preventing broken links across your second brain.
Physics Engine & Memory Optimizations
To handle dense knowledge bases without lagging the user interface:
- Barnes-Hut spatial quadtree algorithms calculate n-body electrostatic forces on a dedicated WebWorker thread.
- Node layout coordinates are cached in memory, preventing recalculation overhead on subsequent graph view openings.
- Bi-directional link relationships are indexed concurrently with document parsing, keeping RAM usage below 80MB.
Read our graph view feature guide, explore the wikilinks and backlinks documentation, check vault integrity with the vault health inspector tool, and see our Obsidian vault compatibility.
