# Vault Health Kit

Five practical files for auditing, repairing, and migrating personal Markdown collections and knowledge bases.
Copy them, adapt them, use them in any editor. No attribution needed, no account needed, nothing to install.

## The files

- `readme.md`: What you are reading.
- `migration-checklist.md`: Step-by-step preflight checklist for preparing notes before a migration or reorganization.
- `sample-vault-manifest.md`: Complete file list and intentional reference defects in the sample vault fixture.
- `example-health-report.md`: The full Markdown report generated by the inspection engine on the sample vault.
- `example-health-report.csv`: The issues export as a CSV spreadsheet, every cell quoted and formula-guarded.

## The inspection rules

- **Broken links**: Target note does not exist anywhere in the vault.
- **Ambiguous targets**: A short wikilink matches multiple notes in different folders. The tool lists all candidates.
- **Missing headings**: The note exists, but the anchor target after `#` does not match any heading in the note.
- **Unresolved attachments**: An embedded image or document was not found in the vault.
- **Code block immunity**: Links and syntax inside fenced code blocks or inline code spans are ignored.
- **Privacy guarantee**: All inspection runs 100% locally in your browser. Files are never uploaded or sent over a network.

## How to use

1. Run the browser tool at https://www.getoyma.com/tools/vault-health-inspector on your vault folder.
2. Review the detected flags and ambiguous targets.
3. Use the checklist in `migration-checklist.md` to systematically fix missing notes or clarify folder paths.
4. Export the final clean report for your migration records.
